Do you remember this tweeter?

I saw something on PE's page that I don't remember seeing: Dayton Audio ES104AMT-4 AMT Esoteric Series AMT Tweeter 4 Ohm (parts-express.com)



They're calling it "New" old stock, but I don't remember seeing this before? Possibly a round of tweeters that they were planning on putting into production, but didn't or couldn't for some reason?

I looked, but didn't see anything in Tech Talk with this model number and on the product page... there is no PDF info sheet, so no idea of frequency response.

Because it carries the "Esoteric" name, I think I should have remembered it, but I don't. I'm just curious, but does anyone know the story on this one?

Sounds like they were not made available earlier, only to be used in the "project".

I can't get back to the site, it's just spinning for me right now. Probably doing some updates.

Well, without a spec sheet to see the FR, it would be hard to purchase them as you don't know what you're really getting. They do look nice, though.

I want to see a spec sheet, too. I'm interested in the dipole aspect, but many of ribbons have been somewhat erratic is SPL, though that one is technically not a typical ribbon.

After spinning, the site updates, but I get a banner saying an internal error has occurred, must be missing some info on the page.

PE site isn't working very well for me either. Seems to hang a lot (about 50% of the time).

I was thinking the same thing, and it's not like it is a $25 tweeter that you could just buy and try out. However, with PE's return policies maybe you could buy them, measure, and return them if they aren't what you need. PE is also sometimes late to get everything up on new products, I wouldn't be surprised if data is made available within a few days. Data is often not provided on buyouts, but since these are Dayton drivers we can hope.

Not sure if I just missed this the first time or whether it was updated, but regular prices was $150 and the sale price is $70.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the spec sheet and data file for the ES104AMT-4 have just been added to the "Manuals and Resources" section of the product page.

Ahh, that does look pretty good, especially from 4 to 12k or so. That would make a nice tweeter for a fancy three way.
The off axis is fairly flat too, just mostly progressively quieter.
Pretty good for the price I'd say, and I do like the look, she's pretty, just going to need to make a rear chamber for her.

Just ordered two. These will be in dipole mode, 4-way. I'm impressed with the off-axis shown, if that holds up. Stops at 45 degrees, though. Would be better to show 60 degrees.

Can you clarify this for me - I took it to mean you used a pair and won 1st place? I thought you meant the Nephila's but that uses the Airborne tweeters.

I won in-store credit from the Nephila, and purchased a pair of the AMT1-4 with the credit.
