          Isn't "everyone" singular, Mr. Grammar?

I'll check on that and get back to you, right after I install a few more MOVs.

it is an indefinite pronoun, treat as a singular. if you need a plural version you use every one.

A complicated subject, power line conditioning / surge protection. But my experience from 25 years ago for lightning strikes is this ...

I lived on a flat plain with lots of nearby lighting strikes. It gets kind of scary seeing it hit at the back of the yard (3 acres). Lost a couple pieces of electronics here and there. One night, my neighbor lost everything, TVs, alarm clock, radios, microwave, HVAC controls, everything. I installed a whole house protector from HD in the breaker box and never again had a problem - including a hit to the closest transformer that lit up and burned white hot. And I witnessed first hand why horses dies in a barn fire. In the corral across the street, they went absolutely berserk.

A unit similar to this ...

                  NO.

Everyone and every one are commonly confused and they have two very different meanings.
Everyone is used as a pronoun to refer to all, whereas every one as a noun to refer to each individual.
Everyone. Use everyone as a pronoun to mean all the people in a group.

I don't need a lengthy explanation on the meaning. I know what the 2 spellings mean. It should be "everyone possesses" no matter how you look at it.

If you don't want to know, then why ask?
Thank you for noticing my spelling error. Possesses is the corrected spelling!
