Nice to see you guys are keeping this fantastic thread alive. What a great testament to the wonderful Man that Zilch was and still is. It will be nice to see this still moving forward in years to come
I'd relax the woofer transfer function just a bit in the XO region, try to fill in the dip a little more.
I also notice that you aren't including any acoustic offset for the tweeter and woofer.
So you have the minimum phase included with the plots?
There aren't any acoustic offset in my opinion (in mine configuration). I will post pictures with woofer and tweeter on the 1.1" board for you to evaluate, but i think that they are dead on. I was trying to allign the voice coils of both units. I used this cross section of Eminence 12" to se where it is...
I have problem with filling that dip. When i let DL2512 do the frequencies that it should i get a nasty peak at 2KHz.
Woofer response was satisfying when i did the 18dB/o xover but than sensitivity is way down for speaker 95dB in bass region and i've been trying to avoid that.
I'm gonna try today to see what can i do about it.
First i want to thank everyone who contributed to this ammount of DIY projects become available for us mortals. Especially kudos to Zilch.
For some time i've been trying to make my Eminence Deltalite II 2512 and JBL WG+D220Ti work. I've been playing with PCD for past few weeks.
Slowly finishing it up so i made some xover simulations in PCD. I would really appreciate some advices from PCD gurus. If this is not good, please let me know. I am still learning how to use PCD.
Here are woofer and tweeter xovers in particular...
Say, you guys see any issues with using a 'standard' REW setup for taking driver measurements?
Specifically, I'm thinking the calibrated EMM-6 and a M Audio Mobile Pro. I don't think I'll be rushing to buy, but good to know exactly what I should get before I need it ;).
Once the current Autotech group buy is done, they're going to let me set up another one. The current one is pretty much filled at this point. So it won't be long.
With the next one, the SEOS-15 and SEOS-10 prototype will be in full gear.
I believe that would be the post # 707. Nothing econo about it but you already know that. :D
Thanks, don't know how I missed that. Getting ready to build my 'Tribute to Zilch build' and I think these (with the 2452H-SL's that I already have) are going to be the ones.
