I have also measured Fountek NeoCd3.0M. If anyone is interested, I'll post it as well.

Sure, it would be an interesting comparison.

Thanks for posting the results, looks like the 3.0 is better all around. What's with that nasty energy storage at 2khz on the 3.5?

I don't know man. I was a bit surprised myself. They both have it but the horn loaded ribbon has a bigger problem, it appears.
I am thinking LCR with second order around 2800hz should do the trick.

3.0 got my vote as well. Few more $ but I think it's worth it.

Yea I suppose the 3.0 is twice the price so it should be better. 2800hz would probably be fine, above 3500hz it looks great.

Though 3.0 seem to have better response . The 3.5 still looks usable. Carpenter
since they are fresh on your ears. Would you say the 3.5 is still a good bargain for the price?

I think 3.5 is a good tweeter. It's more limited because of the energy storage issue and nonlinear products then 3.0 The question really is, what can you use it with?
Dome mid range or a 3" woofer with linear response extending in to 3500hz area?
I haven't build the systems with either one yet but will soon.
Good for the money? If used within it's limits, I guess so.

Which are you thinking of pairing them with 1st and 3 inch woofer in a 2 way or a mid range for a 3 way?
Actually you can also get a 4 inch woofer to reach 3500. Look at the B4n, TB titanium and bamboo drivers.

Is the SPL really that low on the 3.5? Or did you not have the voltage at 2.83VAC?

                              Voltage was about 1-1.5.
