Re: Almost on topic
This is a good idea. I'm bringing down a few 4-ers (they come in pints) of Furious.

Now I wonder what the rules are regarding alcohol at the venue and in general. I'm always careful not to offend when I bring beer since I know some people and lots of venues are anti alcohol.

Re: Almost on topic
Gotta love it when thoughts turn to beer. I am very lucky to be living in San Diego, liking craft beer and homebrewing: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/top-50/
Alesmith, Stone and Lost Abbey are all local, easy to get their beers at the source. Just 3 out of 32 breweries in the San Diego area. The National Homebrew Convention will be in San Diego next June.
How come there is never a DIY speaker event in SoCal? Maybe not enough builders down here? I don't notice many posters from this area.
Cheers!

Originally posted by evilskillit View PostHrm my standby if I don't want to spend a lot is usually something from Boulevard Brewery, they're local so all their six packs are only like $6.50 and the stuff is really good. Particularly the IPA, Extra Dry Stout and Bully Porter.
Otherwise SKA Brewing Decadent IPA is one of my favorites.
