The small tweeters are also Peerless, maybe the MTR25. Also very widely used -- even by Electro-Voice.

The woofer looks like it might have been a Heppner.

Decent components for the era. Collectively, well, hmmm.
Thanks for the info -- that should be very helpful. The "can" on the back of the midrange is to seal it from the woofer, I gather.

Nah, nah, nah! You don't owe me a damn thing! I was just joshing at you!

Funny, though, I went right through that thread without even coming close to noticing that those stands were the ones I gave you, they just must look that organic to the TriTrix, at least as built...

Hope they're working out well for you!

And in case I didn't mention it, I think your bracket system is genius! I can only wish for that level of woodworking skill...

You go your way, I'll go mine. I don't care if we get there on time.

Hi everybody, I know this is a very old thread but I have a couple of this speakers. I know nothing about elettronical things... I just need the following general info. The speakers sound great, for me, and I would like to use them (they belong to my dad), but he told me I have to keep them 2 or more meters away each other to void interferences or other eletronical strange effect he doesn't remember exactly. Instead, I wuold like to keep them very near (about a meter) because of space needs... do you think I can? Did my father remember correctly? They are and will be connect to a kenwood ka 9100, into an appartment.

The only reason I can think of to space them far apart is to get a proper stereo image. You should be sitting on an equilateral triangle, with you at the point. That's not ultra crucial even so, and different people like different spacing.

Hey, really thanks for the quick reply! Can I take advantage for another question? Which very cheap cd player would you pair us with (considering the above amplifier)?

No idea. I use a Blu-Ray player. But lots of guys here can help you. i will say that actual CD players seem to be rare these days. I bet your cheapest option is a DVD player.
