Re: mtm with best sound quality ?

You might want to throw a price range onto your question since the answer will vary.

I can only give my opinion as compared the speakers I have heard.

    Sub $300, I think Zaph's BAMTM's.

    Sub $500, The Nat P's.

Anything above that, try a Minuet kit from Clearwave Loudspeaker Design.

Yeah, Minuet comes to mind... the drivers are ridiculous.

But as deewan said, that depends on the budget/objectives.

        Why, mine, of course!

I'm kidding (of course), but seriously, they got some run in Tucson recently, and I think the version with the 27 TBFC/G will be just as good, if not better.

I'm still hoping that one of the talented builds up something with a pair of 18Sound 6ND430-16 drivers.

For around $750 how about Wayne J's Eros MK II's?

The Vifa P-18's are tough to come by these days and the ScanSpeak tweets are getting pricy, but it's a beautiful design. I understand someone is offering some of the Vifa's that you'd need here on the board: http://techtalk.parts-express.com/sh...d.php?t=223569

Why not? Good horizontal dispersion, and limited vertical for less reflections, with additional sensitivity.
Sounds like a good idea to me,

Why MTM?.....Why not MMTMM or WMTMW....of which both are shown to be superior alignments in vertical dispersion, controlling floor bounce, power handling, LF reproduction, and so on and so on and so on........

Personally, if it had to be small, i think an MT is the better solution. If you're looking to move away from point source, don't just take a few steps. Move clear accross the floor IMO.;)
