  • New 'Old Vifa' driver coming back...

For those of you that remember the old venerable P13WH, SS will likely have a 'Discovery' model of the same out in a couple weeks.

I know the P13 has a huge following, but for me, thsi is a Bummer... Bring back the "M" and "PL" lines!!! That said, I'm happy for those that love the P13 :-)

Every time I watch TV, VCR, DVD in our TV den, I'm listening to the original P13WHs that are performing lower-midrange duties in my 4-way TLs, the very first pair of speakers I took to a DIY event (2003 Northern CA when we lived in SoCal).

The Discovery line is an improved version of the PL line. They just used a cone material they consider superior to the PL line and made some slight improvements to the motor structure.

That new 10" discovery woofer also looks good.

Lynn Olsen and the Ariel group will be ecstatic, as they will be able to build that design again. -It will be interesting to see how they fare compared to the originals.
