That would be great. Right now, I don't have any plans for it, though.

The Hyatt - Woodfield is a great hotel, but for anyone looking for cheaper rates nearby, you might check the following hotels:

        La Quinta - http://tinyurl.com/6l47f3j

        Extended Stay America - http://tinyurl.com/6a76fhe

        Hilton Garden Inn - http://tinyurl.com/63ro528

La Quinta appears to be the best value at $45, and it's 2 miles away from the Hyatt.

Here is a link to a list of hotels near the venue.

I would love to host the Friday night GTG at my house. However I don't know how many of you would be willing to drive up and over to Rockford which is approximately 50 miles from the venue. If any interest please post.

I won't be in until 9PM+, but I wouldn't be driving another 50 mi out if it were me.

While I still plan on attending there's almost no hope of having my project ready. Certainly the best I can hope for is bare mdf. But my oh my, are they going to be amazing when they're done. Four of the Usher 8955A's and the Swan/Hi Vi S1 mid/tweet combo. They tested terrifically and are looking like they should integrate quite well.

Maybe I'll find a way. Wish me luck!

Paul - I will be there with the upgraded Stormy's; added a sub. Sorry Wolf, designed the sub around the new Dayton ND-91 in a matching Ikea bowl enclosure and not the TB design you proposed. Will arrive 6-7PM, best guess.

Anyone thinking of an informal GTG at the hotel?:D

I totally understand- the ND91 is cheaper!

                          Hi Paul,

I don't know if you are keeping a list of what speakers are going to get demoed. I got back from my brother the Ochocinco MTM that I built for him and would like to demo them. I built the MTM pair for $147, so I guess that would put me in the budget class. They have the ND140 Midwoofer and Vifa BC25SC06 tweeter.

It's not a contest, Ryan, therefore class and cost won't matter.

Just kidding. I really don't care whether there is a contest or not. I'm not bringing these to win anything. And, honestly with them designed to be used with a subwoofer and placed nearer a wall, they probably won't show as well in this venue as the should. Ah, such is life. But, I am still really happy with the way they turned out for the price. I think CJD did excellent work with the crossover. I'm looking forward to sharing them with people.

I got to start thinking about my music selection.... I'm thinking a little JJ Grey.

It should be a good time. It sounds like CJD is bringing two projects to show off. What else are people bringing?

Well, I hope that, in the end I can put together a list of the speakers that came and their approximate cost. But no, no contest this year. Just show n' tell.
