Very few results, only 1 and it didn't look credible, on google. :(

Icor, I have a micro-miniature soldering station, and I'd be happy to attach leads to the back of the Panasonic capsule for you for free. I have a Matsushita (Panasonic) 8mm capsule with attached leads I'm playing with in Speaker Workshop, and it seems to work very well. You know the feeling when something you've built works TOO well?

Thanks Whitney, I'll keep that in mind if I can't get it.

I only need to add electronic components if I want to measure high SPL, right?
Otherwise, it's just solder on the leads, put on tubing/etc, and connect to a minijack?

I have a couple of those capsules and generally speaking you need to build the preamp to use it, as many soundcards are incompatible.

                Re: Panasonic WM60AY electret capsule

I just posted a great link to a diy mic based on Linkwitz's mic for the Panasonic mic capsule a couple of days ago. I believe I posted the link in a thread called "wt3 problem" or something like that. Or you can just search avs forum for "Lilmike's mic".

It's a great pictorial and the schematic has a couple of mods and is way easier to read than Linkwitz's chickenscratch hand drawn schematic.

Thanks for the link. That's a very reasonable price.

Curious, what would I pay for a mic of about-equal quality? (( Never mind, I found it. I was searching for the wrong thing: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=390-801 ))

I may be buying them soon. I'll probably post again about aesthetics.

I have some capsules and a bare mic preamp PCB I bought from Mad About Sound I'd be willing to part with. Send me a PM!

Thanks for the offer mate, but I'm looking at building 6 or more of them.
