  • Another salvo in the "Cheap Tripath War"?

Stellar Labs at MCM. No volume control, but anyone reading this has a world class pre-amp almost literally at their fingertips.
Don't listen to me - I have not sold any $150,000 speakers.

Very nice looking, too, and only $15 I might grab a pair on payday.

What world-class preamp??? Did I miss something?

FR 60-20,000Hz, 80dB S/N . Anyone get the Lepai tested yet?

It would be interesting to see. My money is on the MCM specs being accurate.

Yeah, you can say " 20-20KHz" but that may be at +/- 12 dB if it's not stated. Even P-E is vague on their less expensive Dayton amps and such.

Oh, haha, right on. Now that I don't have the Beats software on there and the HRT MSII, it's alot better sounding. I still need to finish building these blasted speakers. :D

Product details say on/off is also volume control - am I missing something?
Audiophiles listen to the equipment, not the music.

It looks a lot like the Sonic Impact T-amp Gen 2. I've been using one of these for years for the Overnight Sensations, and I like it a lot. However, it could just be the case that's the same... I have no idea if the actual guts are the same.

I think he missed the fact that the center silver thing is both an on off switch and a volume knob.

30 watts total output, 18 watts max input.

Needs a 4+ amp power supply like all the others to deliver the "rated power". Lots of stereo amps and AVR's have the same problem.
