  • "Eco" build thread.

The Eco build is just stuff I had laying around including wood, caps, inductors, ports, and terminal cups. The drivers are the Aura NS6 -8 and the cheap Peerless of India buyout tweeter with no face plate. Both drivers were gifts from my loving girlfriend.
So this build was just to try and build the cheapest speaker I could and still get decent sound. I don't have the measurements yet because I am still working on the crossover. When I get them done I will post them too. This is just to show what I have got for now. And the speaker is just primed not the final finish.

My Poplar Baffle with a hand cut WG start.

These are the final build pictures I have for now.

More to come whenever I have time to save some pictures and measurements. Thanks for looking.
    Thanks ,
    JB

Wow, dude. That finished product looks amazing. Not at all what I expected from the first few photos in the thread.

Wow! If those sound half as good as they look ... ! I like the idea of using on-hand drivers since I have a bunch, but that cabinet is something I can only dream of making. Great job!!!!!!

Thanks for all of the replies. I will not have measurements for another week or so my mic pooped out on me. So I am waiting on getting another one.
I'll post a impedance sweep tonight at least and the start of the crossover.
                      Thanks ,

                        Re: "Eco" build thread.

This is just a start to my crossover for these but so far so good. I only have impedance sweeps as of right now.

I did a impedance sweep for both sides, they both were almost exact, so I only posted the one.
                        Thanks ,

is the front baffle curved? The pics kinda make it look so.
