  • Need a port plug idea?

I have 1.92" diameter port opening that I would like to cover to make a sealed enclosure. The problem is that the port is in the front of the speaker so the plug would have to look little better than just decent. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

What is your baffle made from and how is it finished?

Most likely you will have to cut a precise plug from the same or contrasting material and glue it in, then finish someway.

If you are wondering how to fill it and make it hold, then after removing the current port leaving a clean cirlce, you could cut a rabbet in it and cut a cooresponding rabbeted plug to give you a glueing shoulder.
You would need to use a good circle cutting jig to make it all fit nicely.

    pictures would help.

Buy a Nerf football and jam it in there, tho if it's a front port the appearance that creates may not be the most desirable but that's the cheapest most effective way to go.

I'd find a nice black foam and make a plug. Functional, attractive, and reversible.

Plug it from the inside and leave the "appearance" of a port
