  • Payment for services rendered

Now dont put your minds in the gutter......

Built a quick box for a friend at work for his subs. Took me a couple of days, no biggie. He asked me how much I wanted as payment. I just told him to let me have the rest of the 2nd sheet and to get me another sheet of MDF. So a sheet and a half, thought that would be good. He ends up bringing out 4 extra sheets. SCORE!!

+1. Very cool. Your box looks pretty good too. Nice work.

The last car sub box I built I charged a fair price and the customer was so pleased he added an additional $50 to what I asked for. 3 years later and a different car in which the box would not work, he calls and tells me I can have the box if I want it otherwise it was going in the trash!!! So I actually got paid to build myself a sub box

        Re: Payment for services rendered

When I was in the planning stages for the Amarosos I noticed the thread that Maynard Goff started about his Last Hurrahs project. He had a number of drivers on hand from which he was choosing for that project, including two pairs of Hiquphon tweeters. I offered to buy one pair from him, whichever pair he didn't use, but he refused!:( Instead he said he would GIVE me a pair in exchange for some TL modeling from me. It took me about 1 microsecond to say yes, and I ended up with a free pair of OW2s that would have cost $252 at least. :applause: I don't think I've done $252 worth of modeling yet in exchange for Maynard's generosity (he even paid for the shipping!).

Is that a shared slot port with a flare? Very nice work.

That's pretty generous. I would have been more greedy and at least try to score a case of beer as well.

Exactly!! I dunno if that DD means digital drive or double dynamic or darn deep or if it refers to attributes of the females your slamming stereo will attract.
