This thread will document the measurements I take on the new RS150P-8 drivers I just received. My project plan is to pair them with some RS28A tweeters I bought a few weeks ago when they were the deal of the day (<$50). Initial visual impression is that they are very well made.

Re: RS150P-8 measurements
Here are the measured T/S parameters right out of the boxes using an added mass of 20.5 g:
Driver A:
Re 6.201 ohms
Fs 57.2 Hz
Qms 2.246
Qes 0.4713
Le 0.6469 mH
Mms 6.215 g
Vas 0.406 Ft^3 (11.49 L)
Driver B:
Re 6.22 ohms
Fs 56.52 Hz
Qms 2.208
Qes 0.4664
Le 0.654 mH
Mms 6.413 g
Vas 0.4031 Ft^3 (11.41 L)
This is right out of the boxes. No flexing of the suspension by hand or anything. Pretty darn good!Last edited by PWR RYD; 12-26-2013, 10:36 PM.Craig

Re: RS150P-8 measurements
T/S parameters after driver break in. I just run a 60 Hz sine wave to them at about 2 Watts which drives them close to x-max. They hum nicely but never sound like they are in distress (distortion from over excusion). I let them run for 30 minutes then cool down for an hour. Here are the individual drivers:
Driver A:
Re 6.161 ohms
Fs 56.52 Hz
Qms 2.184
Qes 0.4598
Le 0.6369 mH
Mms 6.382 g
Vas 0.405 Ft^3 (11.46 L)
Driver B:
Re 6.192 ohms
Fs 55.18 Hz
Qms 2.121
Qes 0.45
Le 0.6398 mH
Mms 6.372 g
Vas 0.4156 Ft^3 (11.76 L)Last edited by PWR RYD; 12-27-2013, 01:14 PM.Craig

Re: RS150P-8 measurements
I'm hoping to get the kids to bed early tonight so I can start getting some frequency response measuresments. I was able to fab up the infinite baffle insert after I finished tiling our upstairs bath/shower walls (have to take advantage of the warmer weather today/tomorrow to clean out thin-set/grout buckets and tools outside). Anyway, here are a few quick shots of the insert and driver A mounted. Only takes a few minutes to set up my IB and OmniMic:
