Re: What I did on my summer vacation III

    Productive day

All those cans came in handy

This is the rubber I used

Used poly glue for the first ply. Its actually mdf core ply. Applied the 610 to the surface and layed down the rubber.

Layed on the next layer. Same MDF core ply. lots of brads on the first two.

Before I came in for the day I filled all those gaps with plpremium.

Will be interesting to see how the rubber acts when I flush cut the edges.

Got the rest of the panels glued up. Btw, initial panel with gorilla glue and water. Rubber and second panel, West Systems 610. Last panel veneer glue.

The bad news is I made the baffle the same size as the rest and when I got the shell on, well you see. Decided to glue in another piece of mdf with PL Premium. Seems to be my MO to lack planning then make a great recovery. We shall see. wish me luck.

Lowell if you had not mentioned it we would have all thought it was planned. that is a great save on your project.

You should try video during your build, it would make great viewing.

Between you and Zarbo I'm thinking of taking up a different hobby - you two have mad skills! Great stuff, Lowell.

                        Day 5.
Smoothed these with the belt sander.

And added a topper of mdf.

                        Just a couple of teasers.

If you want to do consistently nice roundovers, get a triple wing.

I filled all the nail holes and the gaps with PLPremium right after this pic.

Thursday I'll go over the round overs and do some final sanding before I bring them in to begin the measurement phase.

                                Holy cow Lowell,

How do you get that much done in 5 days? I feel like I'm moving in slow motion compared to you. At this rate, they'll be on the cover of July's sales flyer.
                                They look awesome BTW.
