  • Summer Vacation III: Next phase

Populated the speakers and did some measuring.

Imported the files into PCD and here we go.
Just my first shot. I think it could use some improvement, especially the Impedance.

    Build is here.

Well,,,, I'm sure a good crossover will improve the sound but,,,,,, NOTHING is going to improve the look!

Wow!!! Just awesome! Now really? You had to be planning those for much longer than the couple of weeks you've been posting on them. No?

      Sweet,,,,, really sweet! Later, Mark

I can't tell anything about the impedance, but that response and phase looks incredible!

Well, it touches about 3 ohms in two places.

I will indeed use passive components.

What's killing off your tweeter response? Maybe measured on a different axis?

Gawd, Lowell. I see your work and am embarrassed by my progress and quality control. Thanks for that. ;)

              PS, really nice work Man!

Its Omnimic. When one uses the Pseudo noise, it does roll off early. The sine wave is much better. I may remeasure next weekend.

                  Thanks.

That is an incredible design Lowell. I love big boxes with big bass. What color are you thinking? I hope it's going to be something bright and glossy.

I had to zoom in, and zoom in, and zoom in (curse you photobucket!) but eventually I got it large enough to look at the detail. Are the faceplates of the RS28 and mid actually touching? If so, great routing work there man, kudos.

Darn near. I actually wanted them a bit less closer. Didn't mean to route away the mdf, but did. At least they both are the same.
