  • MWAF 2014 Contest Results?

    What speakers/designers won this year?

    Thanks.

    Re: MWAF 2014 Contest Results?

I am thinking PE will make a formal announcement soon. But I can at least say that I won 3rd in the over $200 class with my Armonicos. George "Moosespeaker" took first.

I am also hoping that I can get the judges scores and comments.

It was tough in all the categories. The point difference in the under $200 class was 1 between the top 3.

An apostrophe with an "s" does not mean plural.

            Speaker's IS NOT PLURAL.

Craig, remember the blown tweeter speakers? Those took first in the under $200. Rory tried to kill them with the "Royals", but they made it through. Others were not so lucky. :(

I had an OB 3-way that just beat out 6ths entry. He had the better sounding tweeter, but it seemed like the MLTL dug a bit deeper. It was either that or that I stumped Don Keele with hidden wires to the mid.

I'm so thrilled that 2 Ludicrosity entries placed at MWAF!!
'Royals' made my Fenghuang fart all over the place. I really don't think any <$200/pr speaker should have to be able to reproduce that 22Hz signal. I think about the only pair that kept their composure was the NTM's. All others had issues with the Royals and the track in the middle- whatever that was.

If I never hear bluegrass-superfreak again it will be too soon.

I would imagine that Rory is the only one who has those lists for certain.

                            22Hz in that song? Nice.

Normally, I would agree. Trust me though, that was anything but nice. Brutal is a much more apt description. Just to much for small drivers to try to replicate in such a large space.
