  • Hookup Wiring

    Hey guys,

Quick question about wiring crossovers. I am just about ready to wire up my crossovers but I don't know what gauge wire to use for the hookup wires within the cabinet. I was thinking 18AWG. Is this thinking correct?

    Thanks

[EDIT]I should mention that I am building Paul's Speedsters design[EDIT]

    Re: Hookup Wiring

If you're referring to wiring from component to component in the crossover, 18 gauge is fine. If you're referring to a run of wire of a couple feet or so from the crossover to a driver, 16 gauge is a better choice but 18 gauge is probably okay.
