  • Tang Band mids difference

    Is there a difference between the Tang Band W4-1337SD and the Tang Band W4-1337SA (as recommended by Jim Holtz for the Statement Monitors)?
    Or they all in the same?

    The SA is the original model, the SD is the 3rd revision since that model, but should be almost the same. The frame was a change at some point.

      Wouldn't the W4-1337SDF do just as well at a savings of $18 per driver?

        Not in this particular case. Since the Statements' series of designs have open-back midrange tunnels, the SDF will actually reduce the effect since the ferrite magnet will virtually close off the exit more than the Neo will. Jim's recommendation in a prior thread says to stick with the Neo to keep this section open.
