InDIYana 2015 precursor.....

    InDIYana 2015 precursor.....

    I won't update the website until the new year, but 'Houston, we have a BIG PROBLEM!'

    The Hyatt is booked solid from the first weekend of March through mid-June.

    I have plans to have this in early April to early May as usual, and not the month of June or March. Therefore, I have to research a new venue this year if this is still going to happen.

    Just figured I would throw out a heads up,

    That's just insane, Ben. If you have trouble finding something let me know if you want me to look into something down here.

      I'd be glad to do another DIY Chicago, if Indy is full. Probably the same place as 2011 (Hyatt Regency Schaumburg)

        I will be researching venues locally. If anyone that is also semi-local knows of something concrete, I'm interested in hearing about it.

        Time to make some phone calls.....

            Lawton Skatepark. I imagine there might be some issues with acoustics there though... :p

              AXPONA is April 24-26
              Vera Bradley Sale is April 10 and 11.

              SO- I'd like to avoid those weekends.

                  I don't think i could make a meet in Chicago-land, but I am sure that would appeal to others. Ft. Wayne is very central for people in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana though.

                      Please please do this!!! I went to nearly all the diy's last year. I plan to try and do it again. SD I missed but plan to attend with my wife this year. Fortwayne is fairly close as well. Should be a great upcoming year.

                        I'm guessing the cost puts it out of the question, but have you ever looked into the Sweetwater Theater? This would be a venue that would have much better than average acoustics!

                          Since the benefactor pays for it I don't want to have him spend too much for this.

                          I have a few more options in Ft Wayne, and some in my home town to check into currently. I will do some more digging tomorrow.

                            I think it's probably too small (driven by but never been inside), but you might look into "Van Buren Center" in Columbia City.

                              I read this thread yesterday and was thinking about it around 11 PM last night while watching the Broncos/Bengals game when I realized we won't be able to eat dinner at The Factory Steakhouse on Friday night. Bummer!!!!:(
