  • Techflex and cable pants size

I'm going to build some speaker cables using two 12 awg conductors cable.
    I already have a 1/2 " techflex reel.
What size of cable pants should I buy 10 or 11 mm.
I saw in pictures the techflex goes inside cable pants.

How about just some heat shrink over the joint between the connector and the Techflex?

It is Gromit if you are an animated cartoon dog. Grommet is correct.

I was responding to a spam-post about actual trousers in relation to a thread about speaker-cable-pants.

I was thinking Grommit was right, but auto-correct took my thoughts with a grain of salt. However, Gromit is clay-mation, not animated in terms of a cartoon.

djg- yep, that was a tragic loss. I know that they have had films since then, so it's not all just gone forever.

10mm cable pants should be a little tighter (which is a good thing).
Cut with a soldering iron or do something to reduce fraying. If you simply cut with scissors it will fray and is hard to work with.
Use heat shrink to keep the ends nice and insert inside the cable pants.
The 1/2" techflex may be a little loose, I've used 3/8"
Google "How to make Your own HiFi Speaker Wire" by 123Toid on YouTube, its pretty helpful.

Still not a cartoon. Clay-mation is animation, just not a cartoon. I wasn't disputing that it was animated.
