    As far as I know, this is often referred to as a "Dueland" crossover.
    Here's a white paper (alert: heavy math) by (the great) John Kreskovsky:

    Over at Diyaudio, there was a long discussion a few years ago about a Dueland design where they go into
    all lot of details. Sorry, don't remember the name of the particular speaker.
