I used 13 ltrs, vented for the Airbournes. Sounds nice.

The Airbornes were only differnt in small-signal tests, but sounded quite the same in implementation, so your mileage may vary.

I've not heard or used the 8955A, so I can't comment there. If I were to wager a guess, the RS28 would likely meet most 8", but where the 8" stops is something I don't kow about. Be cautious about sellers in the classifieds section. Most are good people, but there is a thread about unresponsiveness and manoey taken/no product from the person you are referring to.

Being that I have not finished the design, and that it's preliminary, I cannot make a guess on performance yet. If it were me on the Usher, I'd use the 8948A instead, and the TB drivers have all been of exceptional quality that I've used. I have to do more work on the Airbornes to see how I feel about them, but they seem 'natural' in timbre, and have definite bottom-end for bass.
