The Ruinations are completed and I want to thank the following people for their assistance during the project.
Wolf - for his help with the PCD sims we'd bounced around and a starting point for the 2.5 way crossover to tweak from.
DLR - for hosting DIYNE and providing feedback on adding BBC dip while they were there.
Mzisserson -for providing feedback at DIYNE that was incorporated and verification of the final crossover.

The inductor I was waiting on arrived and so I was able to get the speakers fired up again on 06/23/10. My initial impression, from about 5 hours of listening last night, is that they sound very good. I played a few tracks that previously had what I’d describe as woofer breakup ringing taking place last night. The ringing that was present with the prior crossover is no longer audible.
I modeled the speakers at 50% BSC which seems to work well for my living room. I have the speakers

The Ruination project started life as a pair of Advent Laureate speakers that were found on craigslist for $35 dollars. The cabinets were in good shape but the speakers were in need of being re-foamed and one of the tweeters sounded like it was blown. That being said for $35 dollars I was looking at them as nice cabinets for a first timer’s DIY project. My goal was to keep the driver cost under $50.00 a driver so total spent would be per speaker would be ~$150.00
