    What size is a standard mic stand screw?

    What size/threading is a standard mic stand screw? I looked it up but can't seem to find it.

    3/8-16 is the smaller insert

    I have a Behringer ECM8000 and am looking to make some more specific mounts besides my mic stand.

      Standard US mic stand thread is 5/8-27. The smaller European-style thread is 3/8-16, which is also the standard for mid-weight video and 16mm film cameras. It is possible to find 5/8-27 taps and dies, but I can't for the life of me remember where.

              It doesn't appear that I can just buy regular 5/8-27 bolts or rod as easy. I might just work with the smaller more common size. Thanks everyone.
