AR94 speakers: need tweeter

Hello,

I'm looking for a retrofit tweeter for a set of vintage Acoustic Research AR94 speakers. These are fairly low efficiency speakers (in the 87-88 dB range) but I'm not completely sure how that translates into which tweeter would be appropriate.

Any ideas out there?

Are you looking to replace the existing tweeters because they are shot or because you want to "upgrade"?

One of mine is shot. I'd rather replace it with another original, but I'm having a next to impossible time finding one. Layne Audio has replacements but they're not original, and all I ever see on Ebay are the ones that are similar, but black (instead of silver).

I have a pair of the black originals from a pair of AR94's. I've sent you an e-mail. Reply if interested.
