Default Looking for suggestions for a car amp

    Hi,
I am looking for suggestions for a car audio amp. The headunit is an Alpine. Speakers are Infinity Reference series 6903(rear) and 6502(front).
Would like to keep it under $150 for the cost of the amp.

I dont have a subwoofer and will not be adding any.
As for the number of channels - I believe two is what I need. Its just a regular stereo headunit.

If you go with a two channel amp you can use it in a few ways.

You can power the front speakers with it.

You can power the rear speakers with it (not recommended).

You can power all four speakers with it wiring the speakers in parallel. The downside of this method is no fader control.

If it was me I would go with the Alpine MRP-T220 for $150. Its 50x2 into 4ohms and can run 2ohms. I've always liked Alpine and never have had a problem with any of their gear.

I can't link the page for some reason, but if you go to alpine-usa.com you will find iti under two channel amplifiers.

Like all things you get what you pay for. Don't expect hundreds and hundreds of watts for only $150.

I picked up a Diamond Audio d5600.2 for mine BNIB -- $180 -- a heck of a deal... one may crop up on ebay if you are lucky -- the steal of the car audio amp world... sound great! good power too!
