Default problem with pro logic receiver

The post on the back of the receiver into which the RCA cable is inserted is not working properly. My HT sound is either in or out, and when out I jiggle the cable and it comes in. I tried other cables and the problem is with the post. Is this something a neophite can fix? My experience to date is assembling a PE titantic sub and venering a set of speakers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated....thanks, Jack

Wher is the rca plug at and can you accsese where it is conected to the pcb board from the bottom of the reciver by removing the bottom plate. If you can see where the rca connects to the board you may be able to see a hiar line crack in the solder joint or worse. You can then just rsolder the jonts carfully making sure that you do not short the leads out. If you uncomfortable with this or you cant accesse the where the rca meets the board then i would recomend a repair shop. it should only be a connection problem and should cost very much. But if they try to charge you more than you think should be charged to resolder three pins then contct me and i will walk you through the process completly. tgdrums1990@ hotmail.com is my email.
