sub help, question
Finished new old sub last night - initially PE shipped bad driver (rubbibg coil), replacment got here yesterday so merry night assembling it all again. Box is sealed, around .7 to .8 ft stuffed, with 150 watt PE plate amp, running through RCA inputs from Adcom pre/pro sub outs. Pulled plugs from current sub, dvc15 w 250 plate in 8 cube vented.
Big sub volume usually set at around 9 oclock, xo at same (probably 60hz or so). Win says quattro should be putting out 99db at 10w and with volume on amp all the way up, it doesn't come close to satellites, it's WAY down in output! Sounds OK, just not anything close in output to the big 'un. Later today will try speaker level input, but for now looking for clues regarding very low output. Anyone with similar experience or insight? Thanks Biff
