what thread are these spikes?
DAYTON DSS4-BC BLACK CHROME SPEAKER SPIKES 4 PC SET
Part Number 240-715
Anyone know what thread these are? They appear to be metric rather than the common 1/4 20.

Re: what thread are these spikes?
I used these on my subwoofer. Im not sure exactly what you mean by the thread. But I can tell you that you have to drill a 5/16 hole, install a T-nut on the opposite side of the hole as the spike( included ), and then the spike screws into the T-nut.

Re: what thread are these spikes?
They are metric, appears to be an M6 with a 1mm thread pitch (coarse).

Thanks, I will try and track down a tap at the DIY store.
I am not using the T-nuts I have to tap directly into the base of my speakers which are 1/4" thick aluminum.

At any rate, I got an M6-1 tap there.
Do you have access to the inside? An alternative is to pick up some M6-1 bolts in an appropriate length.

Yes, I have access to the inside, the crossover is mounted in this area but is well away from where the spikes are to be mounted. I will just have to unload the lead shot.
