Power rating for part #264-840
TB tweeter. It shows 3.5 watts rms/50 watts peak for a rating, even the pdf states the same. This has got to be a typo right? Maybe 35 watts rms....Anybody know?

The thing only has a half inch VC. The 3.5 watt RMS rating is probably the actual thermal rating. Even the 1" domes are only good for between 6 and 15 watts thermal, depending on what ferrofluid is used (if any). A 1/2" VC would put it somewhere less than half that, so 3.5 sounds about right.
50 watts is proably a good ballpark system power handling for a tweeter that really handles 3.5 watts continuously. And it probably would take 50 watts for 20 milliseconds at a time.
