I got bored a while back. This is version 3 of the calculator. The car audio community seems to like it, I am curious as to what the DIY home theater/home audio community thinks.

You need to enter the required info in the left column so it can determine the external dimensions and minimum port area (based on woofer sweep) and either option one (if you know your overall enclosure volume and desired tuning frequency) or option two (if you want a suggestion based on T-S parameters).

It does ask for a lot of information.

e.g. Personally, I think the greatest possible port width is pretty much determined by the practical box dimensions, and the target Fb, so I don't see the need to ask for volume displacement.

And I'm more of a fan of sealed subs for cars.

The information the calc asks for (and spits out) is a result of 3-4 months of feedback from car audio fanatics.

The port area is dependent on the woofer's sweep and tuning frequency, makes it as "perfect" as possible.
