    Default Peerless Tweeter Polarity

    Hello
Any of you "learned" ones out here, know how to determine the polarity on an unmarked tweeter?
One of the plastic bases on the terminal male, does seem to be painted white. I don't know if the "white" is actually by design, or an anomally.
    Thanks a bunch in advance!!!!

I had the same question about a Peerless tweeter. The final answer is the white terminal is positive. The general way to tell is:
    1. Test the cone (dome) movement with a 1.5 volt flashlight battery. Hold your finger lightly on the dome and connect the battery across the terminals of the tweeter. You should feel a slight movement out or in.
    2. Do the same with your woofer or mid range and observe the direction of movement.
    3. This way, you can get them in phase (if in-phase is what you want).
    4. To state it more clearly, they will move the same direction if they are in phase with one another.
