    Default Around We Go

Well here we go. I was wrong. all this time i have have been trying to find amps and improve my power output which i have now realized was the wrong aproch. I have 100watts X 5 i would assume max. Wich is enough power to make a good home theater system. I just need better speakers. I will take sugestions to speakers they have a high sensitvity rating so that it will requir minimal power output to push them. I have had my eye on the pionner modles because they are cheap and have such a high spl rating. The only draw back is that they have 1.5mm of linear excurtion. But in the same respect i will only be playing 100hz and up through these speakers. I will prefer a closed desighn or which ever i can get maxium spl. Because i like my music loud. I will also prefer at 6 1/2" driver because im trying to reach high spl's. I would hope to sqeez 100db out the these speakers or more. Thanks.

Can you make sawdust, and do you have room for some tall boxes?

Buy a few cases of NSBs. And either some pro-sound tweets or a few of the neo tweets...

    And build some arrays...

Pros: The speakers "build" on each other to get louder... You can make a very "efficient" speaker that way. They sound also decays at half the rate - if you're 10' away from a 99db efficient array, it'll sound like you're 5' away from a 99db efficient point source. And it'll sound 'big.'

You can throw 80-100 watts at an 16-driver NSB array, and the police WILL come. You will need a sub or four...
