I've seen them receive some good praises on the MAD forum, but not for a while. Supposedly good drivers.

    Quote from The ldsg:
"The Meniscus/Eclipse W1238R a/k/a the ACI AC12E 12" woofer uses a PP cone and rubber surround and features generally good numbers along with good value. In an appropriate enclosure, it can reach down below 30 Hz. Frankly, this design is on its last legs and isn't really recommended for new designs. However, the number of existing designs using it warrants its inclusion here."

WinISD says they CAN reach into the low 30's in 3 cf tuned to 31 Hz. Seem better suited to go 1.3 cf sealed, with an F3 near 60.

The driver is good and I would agree that for the money it is the best 12" available. I've used it before and I would use it again. I can't recall what volume I used, but I thought it performed well and the customer loves it.

This won't compete with something like the DVCs with 14mm Xmax if you go for pure quantity, but for most common viewing and use it is good.

Shoot you can get two of these for the price of a DVC and have more volume and two separate cabinets to better fight room modes.
