Default Well, bass amp for Gumby decided.

Agonising, looking at funds, has to be able to fit in IRU space etc. etc

I was considering using a pair of UCD180 Hypex modules, but the cost of them + power supply etc etc etc was looking like coming in around the $400 AUD mark.

So looks like I will end up with a Peak ST-1. 125wrms/side into 4ohms. It is for bass duty only, and will rarely be pushed hard......and the cost is only $230 AUD.
Annoying when that is the overriding decision point... but I see no reason why its shouldn't do the job.

Now, does it have to be _new?_

    I checked ebay.au ..no go..

there is a Crown D-75 over there, but i would have to get a step-down transformer, + freight etc..

    Carver TFM-6, PM-175, Elan Z series 660 (6x60 or 3x120 when bridged) or the 2 channel variant. Samson had a 1u amp, I think.
