    Default banana connectors

have dayton audio 091-1260 plugs. never used banana connectors. is there a best way to connect your wires to minimize transmission loss? didn't know if there were any special tips/tricks.

Default Yes, there IS a best way...

...to minimise transmission loss: Forego the convenience of banana plugs, and use bare speaker wire to connect to your components and terminals. If you have to use banana plugs, screw the wire in tight.

    Default Re: banana connectors

I'd definently use Bannanas or spades if you can. some bare speaker wire can oxidize quickly, making for losses in electron flow, you may not notice it, but it's kind of a reassurance thing.

    Default Oxidize?

"...some bare speaker wire can oxidize quickly, making for losses in electron flow..."

Such speaker wire will also oxidize underneath even a tightly crimped banana plug or spade connection. So, you are saying to solder the wire at the plug or spade?
