Default Slightly OT: Car audio input levels?

I have an A/D/S Powerplate 80 amp. It has a button marked "high gain / low gain" and RCA jacks. Anyone know what voltages match the two settings?

I also would like to know the input voltage level for a JVC KS-A150 amp.

Any other info that would help me buy a HU that would match either of these amps would be appreciated. Thanks

Buy any HU you want. Just get a Multimeter and set your gains to match the amplifiers rated output. For example If the PP80 is 40Watts a channel(4ohms) and you want to run 4 ohm speakers on it just turn the gain(s) until your Multimeter reads about 12.5Volts(AC). Make sure whatever head unit you get is set at 3/4 volume and play a 1Khz test tone while taking the voltage readings.

Gains? What gains? The amp has a button with two positions - high and low. I appreciate your response, but I am afraid I don't understand it. Could you please elaborate a bit?
