Default How Good Speakers Are Made

This is a very enlightening article by Secrets of Home Theater. They toured the Paradigm speaker company and got a chance to see how Paradigm build their drivers and measure their speakers.

Nice writeup, would have liked to see more pics though if there were any.

I wonder if they just leave that box of 'bad' drivers out by the curb...

Isn't this like touring a yugo factory to see how great cars are built?

It HAD to be said! HAHA just injecting a little friday morning fun!

I lump them with definitive technology... definitively awful

Well at least the quality control aspect is impressive. If you ever wonder where the buyouts come from, this article may shed some light...

not a fan of the Paradigms eh??? hmm. ive heard them up against Von Schweikerts, Totems and B&W's and have always thought they held there own quite nicely against those expensive brands.

Have you ever hear there Reference or Signature series or have you only heard the monitor series???

It was most likely the monitor series.

I've become one of those single driver high efficiency freaks so I've pretty much lost touch with reality anyhow *grin* Nothin' but backloaded fostex for me my friend 50hz is low enough for me with music at home...imaging and quality midrange vocal reproduction has become my main focus.

Of course, my PA system has probably ruined what's left of my hearing.....
