    Default Satelite receiver splitter

I have a Directv dish with both LNB's connected to a 3 in 4 out multiswitch. From there the coax lines run to each of 4 different satelite receivers. All works well.

Now I'm purchasing 3 new Directv DVRs that require 2 inputs so that I can watch one show and record another. Short of buying a 3 in 8 out multiswitch and running an extra coax line to each of the new DVRs (A major job). Is there anyway to accomplish the same end result at each receiver with splitters and still get all satelite channels on each receiver?

I tried this with a UHV / VHF / FM 0-900mhz splitter I had around but I ran into conflicts on the receiver depending upon which channels were selected.

    Thanks

    > If you split near the receiver a splitter that is designed to pass DC should work. The splitter you tried has a crossover capacator blocking freq above 900 MHz. Try PE # 180-504 it should do the job!

Wrong!!!! In fact, that may cause damage to the receiver.

You have 2 options. The cheaper of the two-Buy an 8 output multi-switch and run new cables to each DVR location. The more expensive option-Put a stacker at your dish ($150). Use basic splitters to send the signal to each receiver. At the regular receiver use a de-stacker ($75). At each DVR use a double de-stacker ($150). That totals $700. And it has limitations. It will not work if you upgrade to a multi-sat dish for foreign language or HD programming.
