I am soooo glad I cannot discriminate between the sound of knobs. Which leads me to a question: If a knob falls in the forest.....?

Are you referring to the one Bill make and posted a few weeks ago?

There were a few threads about it:

One of the best-kept secrets is that no knob on the shaft is way better sonically than any knob. It doesn’t matter if its aluminum, plastic, gold, or wood. Our price for you removing your knob, $25.00

If you must go with the wood knob be advised that it is a rip-off without my special platinum set screw that sonically weds the magic properties of the c37 lacquer through the wood knob and into the volume control shaft, further reducing bad vibrations. The price of the special cryo treated platinum set screw is set at a very special introductory $99.00 plus $25.00 shipping to North America.

For the ultimate please send for my special instruction pamphlet that will make you an expert at removing the original knob WITHOUT LETTING THE BAD VIBES JUMP OUT OF THE KNOB and DOWN THE VOLUME CONTROL SHAFT and therefore be permanently bonded to your preamps electronics. Why risk your expensive gear? At a very special introductory price of $49.00 plus $15.00 mail fee to North America locations.

Buy BOTH and get our special anti-bad vibration allen wrench. (Don't be fooled by standard hardware store wrenches) Bad vibes are similar to static control and protection around logic chips. Only our special instruction and training can protect you and your gear. STOP thinking and order NOW!

Those prices are WAY too low to possibly do any good. Better raise them and they'll work even better.

What the heck are these guys smoking? I mean seriously, nothing on that page makes any sense to me, complete bull. I guess some people are just looking for an excuse to waste money.
If you are one of these people please contact me ASAP. I have some great ideas on how to improve the sound reproduction in your home by adding special molecules into the air.
