titanic 1200
Hi Guys, I was watching JMT's e-bay auction on his Titanic 1200. Too bad it was damaged. I too
have an original titanic bought when it first come out. Worked superbly in the old house . I have since built a new house, and my listening room is about 4 times bigger. Needless to say, seeing how the room is in a bass hungry basement,I need more bass. I was hoping to put together,a pair of those bad boys. Does anybody else have an original Titanic they want to part with?
Thanks ,Gene.

Hi, Boso.
I had a 12". Would like to see if I can find another. Wanted to try an experiment with my sealed unit versus the same driver ported. I however will keep this in mind . What might you want for it? Gene

Re: titanic 1200
Hi Gene.
I have 2 Titanic 1200, like new, in their original boxes. Not a single scratch anywhere. One unit is slightly different - cosmetically, around the rim where the aluminum (in the front, 3mm wide) is polished instead of being black - most likely coming from a different batch and manufacturing year. I also have their T/S parameters which I measured with the woofer tester following a 4-day break-in. Amazing consistency. The original idea was to build an isobarik subwoofer with the pair hooked up in series, but I decided I didn't need a subwoofer given my listening tastes (I'm not in HT) and the fact that I own a 3-way system with 12" woofers.
I'm in Ottawa, Canada. Should you be interested in purchasing the pair, just reply here. We'll then find a way to communicate off line. I'm asking US$150 for both; you pay the shipping and insurance (about $50-60, I'd think) and I'll ship them to you.
