Well you know what they say about one mans' trash being another's treasure...

I have three broken 12" woofers I had intended to have repaired and never got around to it. They are headed to the dumpster this weekend unless anyone sees them as treasure. If you want any of them let me know and agree to cover the cost of shipping from Northern California to your location.

First is a 12" subwoofer with a fried voice coil that I replaced for a client from his Snell Sub550 system. It's a nice 90db-efficiency driver that will need to be re-coned. The Sub550 is a THX certified passive system.

Next, a matched pair of 12" woofers from my old ESS AMT 1b speaker systems. These still have good voice coils (although they are circa 1978 and were used for about 20 years) but the foam surrounds rotted. I do not know if a surround replacement kit exists. They were pulled from my 1b's when the surrounds died. I sold the (excellent) Heil tweeters to a friend a couple of years ago for more than I originally paid for the speakers! ESS crossed them over at 600Hz, and the 1b is a passive radiator system.

Anyway, if anyone wants to deal with these they're free if you cover shipping, and if not they are headed to fill a hole in the ground somewhere. Cheers.
