Did you know...
America has over 14 times the population of Australia, living on about 3/4 the land area ?
-
Re: Did you know...
Provided Link: the source of the foregoing
The land areas of both nations are of a similar magnitude. The United States is the world's fourth largest country at about 9.1 million square kilometres (or 3.6 million square miles), and Australia comes in sixth at about 7.6 million square kilometres (or 3 million square miles). Australia is about four-fifths the size of the States. If you compare Australia to the "lower 48", taking Alaska out of the equation, the sizes are even closer, with Australia at about ninety-five percent the size of the continental U.S.

Re: Yeah, but...
India:
Area: 3,287,590
Population: 1,080,264,388
United States:
Area: 9,629,091
Pouplation: 295,734,134
Three times the people in one third the area!

So? We've also got lots and lots of car stereos.

That makes Australia almost 19 times less populated than the US, and 170 times less densely populated than India. Probably between 30 and 50 times less densely populated than most European countries.
No, I didn't realize that. But now that I do, I'm afraid us yanks are going to have to take over your rather sad and empty country and finally make it interesting.
BTW, did you know that, if you gave every man, woman and child on earth their own 20 foot cube to live in (for example, an 800ft2 high-ceilinged duplex 1 bedroom apartment - a decent urban flat - a lot more private sheltered space than most people in the world have), you could fit them all...inside the Grand Canyon. That's assuming 5 billion, and all below ground level in the Canyon.
(Obviously, plumbing and electrics would be a serious challenge.)
And yet, if you laid them end to end, they would reach to the moon and back seven times.

If you did that you'd have 5 billion people ready to kill one another in about 20 minutes.

True, but...
Then you could bulldoze the place and start fresh..

A significant number are already ready to do that, or don't you read the papers?
Peace,

That's why I don't live in a !@#%^ apartment. The very last time I lived in one (1991), I came home to find the door blocked, and when I peeked in, I was looking down the barrel of a gun.

It would make a great place to go test speakers - and no one around for miles to b*tch about the noise.
