Re: rs125+bg neo project? *PIC*

Provided Link: My Main Speakers
I am using the RS125 and Neo3 tweeter together, however, I'm doing it actively.
I found that the lower the crossover the better it sounds, however, if you are wanting to do it passively you probably can't pull off the 1.8khz 8th order crossover that I'm using.
If you want to use this without a subwoofer, I'd suggest going with the RS180 version.

I have a few versions of speakers using the RS125 woofer with different tweeters on my site below. The Microbe and Microbe SE designs have a crossover point of about 3kHz. Under the Microbe project there is a link to the Microbe RS design which has a lower crossover point. You should be able to use one of the woofer filters from one of these designs and then just come up with a tweeter filter to match (a 3rd order electrical filter with some resistors for attenuation should work well). The best way to design a crossover without measurement equipment is to use the FRD consortium tools along with a crossover simulator like Speaker Workshop and I have some tutorials on how to use these tools under the "audiofiles" section of my site. Hope that helps.
