Default How does an fmod work?

What's inside that little bugger that does the highpass?

    A capacitor. No joke.

So those 20hz beasties must use some sorta H.G.Wells/AlbertE/StephenH kinda technology to cram it into that little tube...

I suspect it is just a special conductor and special dielectric (ie not the usueal film-foil or mylar) wrapped in the usual way with one terminus at the input and one at the output.

Harrison Labs has long been the producer of the most horribly implemented engineering known to man. Just look at their car amps and their "fastidious" attention to detail. Or NOT.
It's just a crappy capacitor and a resistor. It doesn't have to be big because the impedances are high.

This is a picture of a REAL H-Labs amp, the Audio Engine. Morons.

Holy cow, Batman! Where did all the parts go? Or did they just use PCBs left over from another product?

    I've seen better-looking prototypes. Heck, I've BUILT better-looking prototypes!

    Sheesh!

    Best regards,

Here is how it should be done. Just stick the parts in a little box, as fancy as you like (or not).
