Rear Spearkers
I am putting together a home theater on a budget and need some advice on rear surround speakers. I was going to build my own and need some advice on what would be the best componants to use. My front speakers are a set of Bose 301's I purchased about 15 years ago. The center channel is going to be a Polk Audio box that I am putting a Tang Band W4-657SB in because the Polk had a separated cone. My sub is a Polk Audio model PSW-50 that I bought off EBay and found that the cone was separated, so I am going to replace it with a Tang Band W8-740C. Thanks for any help that you can be.

Re: Rear Spearkers
Well, if you're going with a Tang Band driver in the center, why not for the surrounds. Personally, I'm one who prefers similar speakers used in different channels, they seem to contribute to more of a "seamless" surround experience. This is subjective, though. You can have a seamless sound with totally different drivers, but for ease of design, if you get one right, you get them all right (in theory).
