CX3400 impressions
I am looking at it for car audio 3-way active front stage.
I know its only car audio , but I would like to hear feddback from people that used it in home.
No I don't think I want to get the big one, I want input on this one.
Thanks

This sounds like massive overkill plus the pita of converting it to 12v.
Why not get a Coustic XM3 or XM3e? They can be run as stereo 3-ways and are already designed for car audio use.
I've used the dbx 234 crossovers and like them. I have a DCX2496, but no experience with the CX3400.

Re: I have one........
That I nearly never use anymore. It has been replaced by a Rane DSP unit that is far more flexible due to the contouring capabilities. For what it does, it works great. The crossover points are selectable, along with levels and limiters. Its differential with XLR I/O's, but works OK single ended. There are lots of things you can't do with it, hence the reason I replaced it with the Rane. If basic is what you need, it works great.

Question for you then, would you be will to cut it loose for a good price?
That is what I'm looking for "basic" that is far better then most of the stuff offered in the car audio world.
I'm still not totaly sure if it will fit my needs and I will be modding it myself for 12 volt operation, I'm more then able to do this part.

Sure. Its fully functional, and a cheap way to experiment. I warn you though, I live in Canada, so the shipping may be a bit higher than you would like. Whats a "good Price" for you?

OOOhhh , you got to just hate that. I don't want to short you on price, I can get it at dealer price new. So I'm not really sure how low you would go.
Let me email you.
