    Default Anyone buy the DOTW?

Nick sent me two for a secret entry into the DIY Iowa event. Time is short but I think I can come up with something. Not going to tell you what the other drivers are at this time. Must have a little surprise afterall. So who besides Nick goes to the Iowa DIY event? I know I know some of you .

I popped into the 'Boro on Saturday and picked up a pair of them. I didn't run a frequency sweep on them yet (got busy sighting in the pellet gun hehehe) but I did run them on the WT2. Pretty close to one another and the published specs. Should be a pretty solid performer in the bass department.

I used your TS measurments for box modeling. I just took the average of the two. Be interesting if you get a chance to do the other test. Guess I'll go cut some MDF after work when it starts to cool down. 106 heat index isn't fun .

Actually if you model both of my drivers simultaneously, the curves will just about be a perfect overlay of one another. At least that's what I was seeing in WinISD. I was expecting the measurements to be pretty close to one another and I wasn't disappointed. I have to get on the ball and get another project done before the Dayton event so I might not get to the frequency measurements this weekend. It's going to be a busy one seeing how it's the holiday anyhow.

Hey, that's cool. I'll have to meas. them anyway. Think I'll meas. the TS params to see if mine match closely too. I always forget how much a quarter weights though. I need to put that on my website for reference. Any idea how much coins weigh? I'll also post this design on my web page for others to use. I was bored and Nick gave me a chance to keep myself occupied so I am grateful as I'm sure he is too.

Default Weight of a quater is... Survey Says!!!

Put the money in the bank, Richard!

A quarter weighs 5.67g according to my numistmatist friend I just called. He's quicker than Google lemme tell ya. Now this is assuming you are using a "normal" quarter, none of this old-time rare coin jazz. And if for some reason you are using a silver quarter, the weight is 6.25g. All this info I get from a 20 second phone call.

Actually, I received excellent feedback from folks planning on attending and expect 30+ people and 20-25 speakers this year. It will be a full day of listening to a wide variety of designs.

Of course, now we know that Nick has a "secret" entry. I won't tell anyone. :-)
